<p>Fear of judgement is a topic that comes up all the time with my clients. I also have the same fear. Because guess what? Nobody is immune to it. ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ</p> <p><br></p> <p>Humans are innately judgemental. That's why we are hyper-aware that other people are constantly judging us.</p> <p><br></p> <p>When do we usually feel the fear of judgement?</p> <p>๐Ÿ“Œ When we want to do something out of the ordinary</p> <p>๐Ÿ“Œ When we want to step outside of our comfort zone</p> <p>๐Ÿ“Œ When we worry about failure or rejection and that success is not definite</p> <p><br></p> <p>Surprisingly (or not), we are most afraid that the people we know very well will judge us.</p> <p><br></p> <p>You see, I never had an issue performing in front of a large crowd. But if I get a text before my performance that says, 'Iโ€™m in at the show tonight, canโ€™t wait to see it!' I will be constantly aware of that one person I know in the audience.</p> <p><br></p> <p>I think it's like that for everyone.</p> <p><br></p> <p>When we think of doing something big, we think about that one person saying, 'Who do you think you are?' in one way or the other. And itโ€™s often enough to hold us back.</p> <p><br></p> <p>It can be true. There might be one person who's saying shit about you, wondering who the hell do you think you are.</p> <p><br></p> <p>This makes me think of a pot of boiling crabs. If one crab tries to get out of the pot, the others will put it back in.</p> <p><br></p> <p>But what if I tell you that you are also holding yourself back?</p> <p><br></p> <p>We over-identify with the possibility that someone is judging us. But they might not be.
