Описание

Tonight’s guest is baseball historian Thomas Gilbert. A Brooklyn native, Tom has been brilliantly chronicling baseball history for the past 30 years. His first book was published in 1991 and since then he has written books dealing with Roberto Clemente, Pete Rose, Negro League baseball; and books about baseball in the 19thcentury, the deadball era, the 1920s, the 1930s; and during the World War Two.

Last September, Tom’s latest book “How Baseball Happened: Outrageous Lies Exposed! The True Story Revealed” was published to rave reviews.

The Wall Street Journal stated that Tom’s volume is “delightful look at a young nation creating a pastime that was a love from the first crack of the bat.”

John Thorn, Major League Baseball’s official historian, calls the book, “a brilliant new approach to our game and its author tells a hundred stories you haven’t heard before.”
