Originally produced by Paul Thomas Anderson collaborator Jon Brion and then later mastered by Mike Elizondo, Extraordinary Machine is a hard-nosed alt-pop record filled with odd percussion, biting lyrics and loungey venom.</p> <p>It’s also #444 on Rolling Stone’s 2020 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, which means it’s time for Liam Withnail and Christopher Macarthur-Boyd to Enjoy An Album.
