<p>There is an uptick in violent crime President Biden needs to own and then strive to mitigate its cause(s). Is bail reform part of the problem? Does it hamstring a judge's discretionary ability to keep violent criminals off the street while awaiting trial? While bail reform was needed to some extent, is it an over-correction in places like New York?</p><p>Chris continues the theme of the criminal justice system and asks if this is the time to abolish cash bail, a system which perpetrates inequities disproportionately upon black and brown communities. </p><p><strong>Also on the table:</strong> Critical Race Theory popped up again yesterday, as General Mark Milley schooled Matt Gaetz and Michael Waltz at a House Armed Services Committee hearing, as to why he thinks it is important to understand and study systemic inequity.
