Adedayo Ipaye, known mononymously as ‘dayo’, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer whose music threads Afrobeats with pop and Alté textures. Also know as ‘dayo1p’, ‘1P’, ‘001P’ ‘Number1’ or ‘1’, dayo is a multi-genre blending musical artiste currently based in the capital of Nigeria, Abuja. Born and raised in Lagos, dayo’s sound is quite unique and unpredictable, mainly influenced by real life cultural experiences and background stemming from life both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He is the founder of @LENIENTBOYz, an Abuja based music collective comprising of wonderful talents including Sky Bills, LUVSWARJEEZUZ, MAJ & O.S.E.
