Some say you should suppress angerтАФbut thatтАЩs not what the QurтАЩan teaches, nor is it what mental health experts recommend. ЁЯТб Anger is a normal human emotion. But instead of suppressing it, we must learn to restrain it. Suppression means pushing it down until it erupts, but restraint means channeling it productively. ЁЯФе There are times when anger is justifiedтАФespecially when it opposes injustice or goes against the Sunnah. But even then, it must be harnessed, not unleashed recklessly.
