This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray. Father God, in the name of Jesus, we honor your great name, and oh what a great God you are. We lift our voices and we sing unto you this morning because you are the great, I am. Thank you for being present in our lives. Thank you for all of your many blessings. For we attest today that you have been good. And God, when we don't know what to pray and we don't have the words to express the sentiments of our hearts, we thank you for the power of the holy ghost that praised the perfect will of God. The scripture says what groanings and moaning that we don't even understand. But we thank you for it in Jesus' name that you're on our side and the spirit of God that's in us. Praise the perfect will of God. In Jesus' name. And God sometimes we may be selfish in our prayers and we're just praying for ourselves and our families and all of our immediate needs. We ask that you would forgive us for that. And God that we would begin to look on the things of others and begin to be concerned about others. So we pray your blessings upon our family members, our neighbors, our neighborhood, our cities, our states, and our governments. Even on a national level, God, we pray that your will would be done. In Jesus' name, we pray for an abundance of wisdom for all of those that are in charge and all those that are making decisions about the
