Overthrow Abbas

<p>This week Lara and Michael sit down with Diana Buttu, a fierce feminist lawyer, and Palestinian citizen of Israel. She's a former negotiator for the PLO and currently works at the IMEU. We discuss the impact of the Amnesty International apartheid report (and the previous reports) and assess where we are in relation to liberation. Diana tells us about how her father was ethnically cleansed from his village near Nazareth. We chat about Israel's relationship to the law, how on one hand they try to claim everything they do is legal, but also claim the law doesn't apply to them. Diana tells us behind the scenes stories from her time negotiating for the PLO. We talk about what Palestinian resistance can learn from the South African struggle against, apartheid. We conclude that liberation is unlikely as long as Abbas is in power.  </p>
