Lawmaker wants expansive 'stand your ground' rules

July 28, 2022 - Following a controversial killing by a bodega employee in New York City, state Sen. George Borrello, a western New York Republican, wants to open up the state's criminal statutes to expand when New Yorkers can use deadly force in self defense.
