Anas Atassi: Sumac

<p>This week, Gilly is in the Syria of Anas Atassi's childhood which inspired his book <em>Sumac.</em> He and his family left the country before the war began in 2011&nbsp;which has left more than 380,000 people dead and devastated its ancient cities and their cultural heritage.
