Modular Accommodation Offered To West Clare Primary School In Structural Difficulty

The Department Of Education has offered modular accommodation to a West Clare primary school in structural difficulty. It comes on the back of concerns for student welfare at Kilmurry McMahon National School which has stood since 1967. The building is understood to be subject to consistent flooding with water easily penetrating PVC wall panels, while an on-site prefab used for special education is missing part of its roof. Responding to a question from Clare Fianna Fáíl TD Cathal Crowe on the matter, Minister Norma Foley says an application for major capital funding at the site is under review.
