<p>Tonight’s guest is author Pete Croatto. Pete resides in Ithaca, NY and before he published his first book in 2020, he worked as a movie critic and as a manager for Supplement Perspectives.</p> <p>But in December 2020 he released his first book “From Hang Time to Prime Time” a brilliantly written chronicle about how the NBA escaped from the doldrums that threatened its status in the mid-1970s to become a present mega-billion dollar enterprise that touches the lives of the youth of the world with a never-ending stream of basketball talent.</p> <p>Pete Croatto deals not solely with the great players but with the movers and shakers who operate behind the scenes in bringing NBA basketball to the entire world: the PR people, the video makers and producers, the sneaker companies, the people responsible for marketing NBA basketball, and most notably NBA commissioner David Stern who orchestrated the rise of NBA from being a small national sport to an international phenomenon.</p>
