Ashwagandha | A supplement to lower cortisol

<p>In today's episode, we're talking about, Ashwagandha. It is in the family of adaptogenic herbs, meaning it can help the nervous and endocrine system respond to highs and lows more efficiently.</p> <p>Cortisol when consistently elevated can lead to negative body composition changes especially around the belly which is associated with increased risk of diabetes, dementia, heart disease and general heightened inflammation in the body.</p> <p>I have found ashwagandha to very helpful for patients who are low energy but anxious. It is kind of like letting out a little air from a balloon that has been over inflated, the balloon is less likely to pop under normal pressures and the same often goes for the human taking ashwagandha, they have that extra margin to continue with what has to get done without burning out.</p> <p style="text-align: center;">----------------</p> <p>Need some stress support?
