I interviewed Shenita James because since the age of 7 she has experienced nearly every mental health challenge - neglect as a child, poverty, childhood sexual abuse, rape, molestation, domestic violence as a teen, teen pregnancy - 4 times by 4 different men. She joins me on the couch to talk about her new book, "Not Just Another Pretty Face" and to tell her story.</p> <p>Shenita James was born on April 16, 1980, in Edenton, North Carolina. As a child of poverty and victim of childhood sexual abuse, Shenita experienced even more hopelessness as she became a teenage mother and high school dropout. However, she managed to turn her life around and discover her passion for helping others to overcome life's difficulties.
