<p>Episode 37</p> <p>This MCAT podcast covers the muscular system. First, I cover the differences and similarities between the three types of muscle (smooth, cardiac, skeletal). Then, I talk about the basic structure of a skeletal muscle cell and the many organelles that are unique to this cell type including the sarcolemma, sarcoplasm, myofibrils, sarcomeres, and more. Next, I discuss three main differences between type I and type II muscle fibers.
