If your friend asks you how his music sounds and you don't like it, tell him/her! When we lie to our fellow artist about their music being awesome and you actually don't like it, you are robbing them of their creative growth. Artists, if you don't want and feedback because you don't want to get your feelings hurt; don't ask! In today's music business there is so much competition out there and we need to be a able to cut through all the other noise. We can only do this through growth in our music, as well as good marketing, but that's a different story. In this music business we must have thick skin and don't be afraid to say the words that could possibly hurt your friend's feelings. As artists, we are entertainers, and yes we create music to express our artistic passion, but who will receive it if no one listens. Don't be afraid to grow.
