Ep# 429 // Christians: How Should We Protest?

<p>Believers have been subject to and interacted with governments since the book of Genesis. Old Testament saints like Nehemiah, Daniel, Shadrach and the boys, and Esther stood before kings to make their petitions and protestations known. New Testament believers stood before tribunals and defied councils. Christians have a long history seeking to do God’s will even when that conflicts with the will of the king. The question in times like these is not whether Christians are permitted to protest certain actions a government takes. Rather the question is: in a country where “the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances” is recognized, how should Christians protest?</p>
