Durane West

<p>Durane West is a storyteller by nature, he writes poetry to unpack his own journey for others.</p> <p>A world through his lens looks like many things: seasons changing, nature and its relationship to human life, personification, black self-discovery, and healing to name a few.</p> <p>West’s favorite part of the writing process is the first draft. “The way I bleed onto the paper feels different."</p> <p>He has been published by 826 Boston, the Max Warburg Courage Curriculum, and was selected by the City of Boston to record for the 2021 Roxbury Poetry Festival *.
