Anand Giridharadas

<p>Anand Giridharadas is the author of the international bestseller <em>Winners Take All, The True American,</em> and <em>India Calling.</em> His new book <em>The Persuaders</em> offers an insider account of activists, politicians, educators, and everyday citizens working to change minds, bridge divisions, and fight for democracy–from disinformation fighters to a leader of Black Lives Matter to Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and more. A former foreign correspondent and columnist for <em>The New York Times</em> for more than a decade, he has also written for <em>The New Yorker, The Atlantic,</em> and <em>Time,</em> and is the publisher of the newsletter <em>The.Ink.</em> He is an on-air political analyst for MSNBC. Anand Giridharadas lives in Brooklyn, New York. On October 25, 2022, Anand Giridharadas came to the Sydney Goldstein Theater in San Francisco to be interviewed on stage by Alexis Madrigal, co-host of KQED’s <em>Forum</em> and a contributing writer at <em>The Atlantic</em>. </p>
