Hello and a lovely Thursday morning to you in the name of Jesus. We’re still talking about the actions that allow us live in the reality of a new start, Today we are looking at courage and conviction, Sometimes some people just act out brashly with bravado calling it courage and they get themselves into trouble, but God wants us to act wisely, He wants our courage to be based on sound conviction. We looked at the life of Ruth and sometimes if you don’t understand the story very well  (I encourage you to read the whole story; it's a short book about 4 chapters) you would not understand the background of the story of Ruth. Now Ruth was a Moabites. Moabites were strangers to Israel they were not Israelites and all that. If you read in Ruth chapter 1: 4 you'll see that she was a stranger. Elimelech and his wife had travelled to Moab and there Elimelech died, his two sons died. Ruth knew something about the God of Israel.  When she was telling Noami her conviction she said "listen "I'll go with you,I'll stay with you, your God will be my God, your people will be my people, nothing will separate me from you".  She was saying that because she was informed and convinced about some things she had come to know about the God of Israel.  She had heard about Israel. Everybody in the region knew about Israel and one she knew about Israel was this, that the God of Israel always, ultimately treated His people well no matter the challenges they went through God ultimately treated them well. So if you read in Ruth 1:6, it's says that after a while, even though there had been famine in Israel, God blessed them again and there was prosperity, based on that prosperity Naomi was moving back to her home country and she was moving with Ruth.  So it's important that we understand that our courage should not be blind courage, should not be bravado, should not be arrogant, it must be based on sound conviction, and the grea
