2356: Communities construct over 700 latrines to improve hygiene

<div>On this year’s world environment day, we explore how South Sudanese are coping with the impact of climate change on their environment especially for populations living on the outskirts of the country.  Afia WASH, a USAID-funded program, has been engaging with communities to change key hygienic behaviors to improve health and household resilience. Afia WASH Chief of Party Dennis Daniel Mwanza says in some state in South Sudan, they have helped communities build over 700 latrines through their community led total sanitation program. </div>
