(Italy) Brush!? - To Reiko (Japan) Ah - so, when I was a child and also younger, I used to think that throwing “Caution to the Wind” was throwing a substance (perhaps a grain like a traveling wiseman might carry) spelled Cosh or maybe Kauzse, into the wind. I was in the passenger seat then and had some time. I knew what it meant. Maybe Cosh is expensive stuff but you say to yourself “I have a handful of this and I’m doing it. It might be worth it. Blow ye consequences, etc…” A long while later I’m looking at the word cosh and wondering why it hasn’t tripped the laser grid of my spell check. cosh1 | käSH | British informal noun a thick heavy stick or bar used as a weapon; a bludgeon: the defendants deny having a self-loading pistol and a telescopic cosh. It feels good to know a bit more about the subject but today for the first time I can remember I saw a man juggling on the roof across the street. He was disquietingly shirtless. I tried to take a picture of him for you but he was wearing sunglasses and I couldn’t tell if he could see me. I have witnessed him toss languid foam balls. I hope some time passes and upon silent reflection he picks up a few coshes to start throwing around up there.
