From speaking at the White House to speaking in the classroom, Dr.Karsonya (Kaye) Wise Whitehead is known for having an informed opinion about issues that are happening withinBaltimore City and around the country. Passionate, edgy and unapologetic, Dr. Kaye writes monthly Op-Eds in both TheBaltimore Sun and The AFRO or in K-12 and college classrooms, Dr. Kaye finds ways to engage her audience by challenging them to think deeply about political, social, and cultural issues—sometimes with humor, sometimes with sadness, but always with an ear that bends toward the truth. This fall she broadens her platform with the launch of her daily talk show, Today with Dr. Kaye—“I believe that everyone should do the hard work to uncover the truth and speak it as loud as possible, even if no-one is listening. Your life and what you stand for will be recorded by history and your truth will be carried by the wind.
