The Women Shaping the World Podcast
Mylène
Description
The Woman Shaping the World Podcast is the French Institute’s Podcast where we question the links between feminism and culture, between France and the UK. France has a long history of Feminism. It was at the forefront of what is now called the Second Wave of Feminism, with authors such as Simone de Beauvoir. Feminism has evolved and changed a lot since then, especially in the UK and the US. How do culture and pop culture influence political and social change? How do artists, authors, filmmakers, and theatre directors integrate feminist questions into their work? Each month, Host Clémence Rebourg (French Institute) will try to answer these questions with two guests, from France and the UK, to shed light on feminist topics with the help of cultural works.
