For over a decade, BET Award® winner, three-time Ghana Music Awards® Artiste of the Year, four-time AFRIMA® Best African Reggae, Ragga & Dancehall winner, and three-time IRAWMA® winner, Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy has been leading force in African music. He is widely credited with creating and propelling the Afro-Dancehall genre into a globally recognized and celebrated sound. He rose to prominence in 2012 with Climax and has since released some groundbreaking albums, including Grade 1, Necessary Evil, Epistles of Mama, which reached № 13 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, Anloga Junction, 5th Dimension, which also peaked at № 8 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, and UP & RUNNIN6. His sound is rooted in Afro-Dancehall while incorporating mainstream and global influences. Stonebwoy has duetted with international artists including Keri Hilson, Sean Paul, Trey Songz, Burna Boy, Alpha Blondie, Angelique Kidjo, Stormzy, Davido and many more. Stonebwoy boasts an impressive collection of over 105 career awards. He has earned some of the industry’s most coveted honors, including a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award, four AFRIMA wins, 10 Best Reggae & Dancehall Artiste awards at the Ghana Music Awards, as well as multiple Billboard plaques and a GRAMMY certificate. In 2024, He further affirmed his legacy as one of Africa’s most accomplished music icons by winning over 25 awards, earning the distinction of being the most awarded African artiste of the year.
