Born Nnadi Emeka Mathew on May 15, 1998, he began writing and recording music in secondary school, where he founded the school’s first music group and gained local recognition for his rap talent. Growing up in a financially challenged environment, Spyki refused to give up on music. He worked as a bricklayer and ran a small clothing business to support his career. His breakout single, “Matter,” inspired by his personal struggles, went viral on TikTok, earning widespread attention despite limited promotion. In 2025, he followed up with “Ofeke,” a powerful anthem inspired by will of overcoming poverty.
