Mrs Caldicot's Turkish Delight

Mr David Livingstone, one of Mrs Caldicot's friends from The Twilight Years Rest Home, has unexpectedly inherited a seaside pleasure pier which has a theatre at one end and a hotel at the other. `Is it near the sea?' asks Miss Nightingale. For reasons which become clear, Mrs Caldicot and the others have to move into the hotel on the pier. The local council wants to turn the pier into a dull conference centre.
