Great Departure of Mortals

These are poems that I wrote when I lost two women that have played a role in my child-hood, my grand-mother and aunt. They both passed away this year, I mourned for them and wrote these poems. They tormented my life when I was young. I held the hands that once beaten me with love instead of with revenge. I forgave them, prayed for them and loved them before they died.
