My name is Beau Lotto and I’m a Neuroscientist and Founder of the Lab of Misfits. My hope is that you’ll walk away knowing less since nothing interesting begins with knowing. It begins with not knowing. My second hope is that going to the very place your brain evolved to avoid: Uncertainty, you’ll understand more about how and why you see what you do. Since it’s only by increasing your perceptual intelligence that you’ll be able to take agency in your own brain’s process of making sense of yourself, of others of the world around you . Otherwise everything you do will continue to be a reflex grounded in someone else’s biases.
