Description
Citiboi (real name Abiodun Adesola Banjoko) is an independent, multi-talented music producer and songwriter from Lagos, Nigeria. Known for crafting soulful lo-fi soundscapes that blend warmth, depth, and atmosphere, his music resonates with late-night listeners, dreamers, and storytellers. Born in Mushin and raised in Ikorodu, Citiboi’s musical journey began as a drummer and percussionist in a Celestial Church Parish, later stepping up as a lead singer. Inspired early on by local percussion-driven sounds and iconic Nigerian rap, particularly M.I’s “Anoti” and the legacy of Dagrin, he developed a style rooted in Afro Hip Hop while evolving into his own unique lo-fi soul sound. With every track, Citiboi bridges reflection and motion, channeling his story and influences into music that feels both personal and universal.
