Before the Psych Ward

One, two, I feel so blue.Three, four, I am seen no more.Fix, six, who's playing tricks?Seven, eight, what's my fate?Nine, ten, I'm afraid again.In November 2023 I was committed to the psychiatric ward of a local hospital. I was sick, both mentally and physically, overwrought with unfamiliar emotions and suffering rapid thinking the likes of which I'd never known before. My thoughts were not my own. This, however is the end of the story. The beginning was months earlier during the Summer of 2023. It was then that I made a fateful decision that forever changed my life. I went off a prescription drug cold turkey, without consulting my family doctor. With some drugs you can do this. Not with the one that I was on, as I was soon to discover.
